notepad-117597_1280.pngWhen people find out I’m an author they frequently tell me, “I’ve always wanted to write a story, but I don’t know where to begin.” I understand their frustration because it took me over two years to write “Knitting Up a Murder,” my first Yarn Genie Mystery. That’s why I’ve agreed to do a FREE “Book Writing Basics Workshop” at our local library June 21st. Things like plots, subplots, setting, theme, character development, structure, and pacing can’t be fully learned in 2 hours, but by learning a little about each one the novice writer can find a foothold in writing their story and start climbing from there.
